James and I left early for church again, as has become our habit. I joined the worship team again while James made his way upstairs to the audio-visual controls.
After church we went into Alexandria to have lunch with Kendra's parents and Abby (another intern from church). We followed that up with wedding dress shopping for Kendra - before coming to DC, I had never seen so many wedding dresses in one place. (No photos of girls in white dresses, but let's just say that she's going to be a gorgeous bride!) Holy cow. By the end of the day, I rode back to NoMa instead of staying for small group. It was an exhausting day, but a fun one nonetheless. Kendra and her mom got off at Union, and so Abby and I made our way home together. She's such a sweetheart. I love Abby more and more as the days pass. It's unfortunate that we haven't made a great deal of time to hang out.
Despite the fact that it was dinner time, I climbed into bed for a nap as soon as we got back to the RAF, and only oke up to briefly write and submit a reflection paper for my informational interviews... I didn't look at the rubric for the assignment, which in retrospect wasn't very smart, but I was honestly beyond caring. That's probably not a good thing to admit either... Oh well.
The rest of my evening blurred together: Leftovers, Laundry (didn't even fold), Bed.
My roses are beginning to really open up. They've been sitting on our living room coffee table this weekend... I wish I had caved and bought flowers before to decorate our apartment. They're so pretty to look at.
